Big Brum TIE has been working in Birmingham and the West Midlands since 1982. The Company tours throughout the region to schools and colleges, working with pupils from the age of 3 up to 17, and students in tertiary education.
The Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah specialises in making theatre for and with children and young people. They are based in Leeds and run residencies, touring and youth theatre and all of which combine their interest in making theatre with how people learn.
The mission of the Bridges Arts Group is to maintain, enhance and utilise the role of drama and art within our society; to ensure that the young people of our society have a platform from which their voices can be heard; to foster, strengthen and enrich the bonds with other communities and within our own; to nurture the spirit of affection and progress. They are ex-students of Hazelwick school, Crawley. Liam Harris is currently the Treasurer of NATD. Mitch Holder-Manfield is currently a member of the Journal Committee.
The Midland Actors Theatre (MAT) is a leading touring theatre company. We are dedicated to telling stories. The company’s work blends the ancient and the modern, the mythical and the real, the classical and the contemporary. MAT tour to theatres, schools and community venues throughout the Midlands and beyond.
Tell Tale Hearts devise and deliver participatory touring theatre productions exclusively for primary children and younger years in schools, theatres and community venues. They are based in Huddersfield.
WRITE theatre run play writing courses. They believe that the writing of plays is a flexible and an organic process, not something that can be taught through the rigid application of rules or application of templates. And it is through this organic process that the writer finds his or her voice. Their aim in the WRITE theatre course is to enable participants to find a process that works for them.
NATD works with Wasim Kurdi to develop drama in education practice internationally. This site, in Arabic & English, offers an insight into the far reaching work of the Foundation, of which Wasim is the Co-ordinator of Research and Special Projects.
