This specially designed training weekend will explore all the fundamental skills of drama, planning and teaching needed to use Mantle of the Expert successfully in the classroom.
Led by Luke Abbott and Tim Taylor this is a two-day training course for teachers, school-leaders, classroom assistants and students interested in using Mantle of the Expert in learning environments across the Key Stages.
Run as a series of practice-based workshops, participants will be involved in a series of Mantle of the Expert contexts – experiencing being inside a fictional context and exploring how the approach works in practice. They will explore how to build imaginary worlds for learning by using different teacher strategies, including Dorothy Heathcote’s dramatic conventions and non-interrogatory questioning.
