At their meeting on the 23rd March 2012, the National Executive Committee of NATD shared with one another their current work as practitioners in a wide variety of educational settings around the country. This document is taken from the minutes of that meeting and is a remarkable snapshot of the breadth and depth of the work with which the Leadership of the Association is engaged. From a project in Palestine, the development of Mantle of the Expert (both in the Primary and Secondary phases), support for new writing and the launch of work with detainees at Gatwick Aiport’s notorious Brook House, right through to the reality of grappling with the invasive presence of Ofsted, this is a testament to the vitality of the Association at a time when the basic principles of a humanising curriculum are daily being corrupted by a decentalising, market driven political agenda. It makes for invigorating reading. Click here
