Facing History and Ourselves and

Voices of the Holocaust

Invite you to a workshop:

Teaching about The Holocaust through history and drama

Date & Time: 31st March 2014 5.00 pm – 7.30 pm

Venue: Friends House, Euston Road, London (nearest tube, Euston Station)

This workshop will demonstrate some ways in which history and drama departments could collaborate to teach issues surrounding the Holocaust. Using content and pedagogy from the Facing History and Ourselves scope and sequence and drama techniques used by theatre and education company Voices of the Holocaust, we will explore how these two curriculum areas can collaborate in meaningful ways to teach this sensitive subject aimed from  Key Stage 3- 5. The workshop will be facilitated by Cate Hibbert – Artistic Director for Voices of the Holocaust and Michael McIntyre – Senior Programme Coordinator, UK Facing History and Ourselves.
